Conference Bursaries

The Australian Society of Agronomy offers bursaries to support students and young professionals to attend the bi-annual Australian Agronomy Conference. These bursaries are awarded on a competitive basis and are usually to the value of AUD $550 for applicants from interstate and $300 for applicants based in the host State. Bursaries are only available to students and young professionals working or studying in Australia.

Bursaries are only be awarded to applicants that attend the conference and the recipient are expected to present a paper (oral or poster) at the conference. Remuneration is provided at or after the conference upon the presentation of receipts for travel or registration.

To apply for the bursary please complete the application form and provide a current CV.
Applications close at 5 pm EST on 30 June 2008.

Instructions for preparing your application

  • Download the application form by right clicking here and select 'Save Target As....
  • Attach your CV (< 2 pages)
  • Provide evidence of your enrolment (in the case of student bursaries)
  • Submit completed applications electronically to therese.mcbeath@adelaide.edu.au

Conditions and assessment

  • Priority will be given to applicants who have submitted a paper (oral or poster) to the conference. Do this via the Author Gateway.
  • Students must provide evidence of their current enrolment.
  • Applicants will be assessed by a sub-committee of the Australian Society of Agronomy
  • Electronic applications must be received by the due date. No late applications will be considered.
