Young Agronomist Award

The Australian Society of Agronomy instituted a Young Agronomist Award in 2006 at the 13th Conference. The award will be presented at each conference to a young person (aged 35 and under) who has achieved excellence in research and/or the application of science on crops and pastures, including the disciplines of plant physiology, breeding, nutrition, pathology, entomology, soil science, weed science, economics and farming systems. The award will be made on a competitive basis and consists of a cash payment of $1000 to the awardee.

The Society encourages all Australian agronomists to nominate their colleagues who have made a useful contribution to agronomy in Australia, whether they are working in research, extension or other. To apply for this prestigious award, a nominator must complete the following application and provide a current CV of the nominee.
Nominations close at 5 pm EST on the 31 July in the year of the conference.
