Young Agronomist Award
The Australian Society of Agronomy makes an award of $1000 to an outstanding Young Agronomist attending the 2010 Conference in Lincoln. The award will be presented to an agronomist aged 35 and under who has achieved excellence in research and/or the application of science on crops and pastures, including the disciplines of plant physiology, breeding, nutrition, pathology, entomology, soil science, weed science, economics and farming systems.
The Society encourages all Australian agronomists to nominate their colleagues who have made a useful contribution to agronomy in Australia, whether they are working in research, extension or other. To apply for this prestigious award, a nominator must complete the following application and provide a current CV of the nominee.

How to apply
Nominations for the 2010 award closed at 5 pm EST on the 30 June 2010.

- Attach a current CV of the nominee (< 4 pages)

Conditions and assessment
- Only nominees aged 35 and under are eligible.
- Nominees must be currently living in Australia or New Zealand and working in a field related to agronomy.
- Nominations will be assessed by a sub-committee of the Australian Society of Agronomy, which will consist of both early career and established agronomists.
- Electronic nominations must be received by the closing date to be eligible. No late applications will be considered.
