Bill Bowden wins 2006 Donald Medal
Nominations for the 2006 Donald Medal were of a very high standard. The medal was presented at a special session in the conference. Bill Bowden's presentation will be online soon.

Inaugural Young Agronomist Award
The winner of the Young Agronomist 2006 award was Andrew Whitlock (DPI, Ballarat, Victoria). Andrew was presented the award of AUD$1000 at the conference for his contribution to the development and adoption of precision agriculture and new, sustainable cropping technology and systems in Victoria.

Keynote Speaker - one of the most influential Asians of the 20th Century
Professor M S Swaminathan, the plant geneticist renowned as the scientific leader of the green revolution, delivered the keynote address at the Conference.
