Invitation to submit a paper

Delegates to the 13th Australian Society of Agronomy Conference are invited to submit papers for oral or poster presentation in the following themes:

• Building crop and pasture systems for sustained productivity and profitability
• Managing water in a changing environment
• Overcoming soil and nutrient constraints
• Improving crops and pastures for targeted environments
• Participatory research: adopting agronomy
• Future technologies in agriculture

The deadline for abstract submission is 28 April 2006. Submision is via the Author Gateway on the website.

Authors are required to follow the template and guidelines for paper submission.

Important Information

An author will be limited to two papers for presentation. While there are more than 100 slots for oral presentations in concurrent sessions, the Program Committee cannot guarantee that all requests for oral presentations can be met.

To assist us with sponsorship and session scheduling, please indicate the source of funding for your research/position on your abstract and paper.

Authors will be notified by 15 May 2006 whether their paper has been assigned by the Program Committee to an oral or poster presentation.

The page limit for oral presentation is 4 pages and for posters 2 pages, including figures and tables.

The deadline for papers is 16 June 2006. All papers will be reviewed by at least one referee and the revision managed through the website. Papers will be published on the website and distributed to registrants at the meeting on a CD. For papers to be published an author must have registered and the paper presented at the meeting.

How to login to the Author Gateway

• Login to the Agronomy website using the Login link on the top left-hand side of this page.
  Note: If you did not receive an email advising that you are subscribed to the Agronomy website, you will need to register first by clicking the register link on the top left-hand side of the page and following the instructions.
  If you have forgotten your username or password, you can recover these from the Login page.
• On the Welcome page, go the events table and click on Author Gateway.
• Click Upload Papers to bring up the abstract/paper submission form.
• Click browse to locate the file you wish to upload from your computer and indicate whether your their paper is an oral or poster presentation, the source of funding for their research/position and the paper theme.
